Coming off last year’s The Last Showgirl, Pamela Anderson continues her big screen comeback next month as she stars alongside Liam Neeson in the reboot/legacy sequel The Naked Gun, and it seems its a casting more than 30 years in the making.
Speaking to Empire to promote the upcoming film, Anderson revealed that her first brush with Police Squad! came during her early Baywatch days, and would have saw her starring opposite the original Frank Drebin Sr., played by the legendary Leslie Nielsen.
““The part that Anna Nicole played, I almost played,” said Anderson, referring to Anna Nicole Smith’s character Tanya Peters from Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult. “It was just scheduling. I couldn’t do it. But it’s good: I’d rather play this role.”
