With her comeback in full swing, Pamela Anderson is set to revisit one of her past projects, albeit in a producing capacity, with Deadline reporting that the former Baywatch star is teaming with her sons Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee to produce a Barb Wire TV series through their new company Ander-Her-Sons Productions.
Created by Chris Warner and published by Dark Horse Comics, Barb Wire follows Barbara Kopetski, a feared bounty hunter in the city of Steel Harbor, a hotbed of drugs, gang warfare, crime and pollution in an alternate-history Earth.
Anderson brought the character of Barb Wire to life in the 1996 film from director David Hogan, which was a critical and commercial flop but did amass cult status. The film (which is coming to 4K Ultra HD next month) was produced by Dark Horse Entertainment, which is also teaming with Anderson on the new TV adaptation. While development is in its earliest stages, the series is said to have “a different feel” to the movie, and is being targeted as the first project from And-Her-Sons.
