Patrick Warburton to play Lemony Snicket in Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events

Patrick Warburton (The Tick, Rules of Engagement) has been cast as Lemony Snicket in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

Warburton joins a cast that includes Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) as play Count Olaf, Malina Weissman (Supergirl) as Violet Baudelaire and newcomers Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire. The character of Lemony Snicket, “author” of A Series of Unfortunate Events, was previously voiced by Jude Law in the 2004 movie.

A Series of Unfortunate Events is set to be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, who will also executive producer alongside author Daniel Handler.
