Pet Sematary: Bloodlines tells the early days of iconic Stephen King tale

July 18, 2023 by EJ Moreno

In what is often described as Stephen King’s scariest work, Pet Sematary is getting a prequel film that will expand its haunted mythos.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will debut this Halloween season and stars Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Isabella Star LaBlanc, with Pam Grier and David Duchovny also featuring.

The film serves as the debut directorial effort from screenwriter Lindsey Beer, and we have our first look at the upcoming project. Check out the new images and teaser poster below…

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines follows “a young Jud Crandall in 1969, who has dreams of leaving his hometown behind but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to the town. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding and, once unearthed, has the power to destroy everything in its path.”

Pet Sematary will premiere on October 6th in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and Brazil, and the following day in other international markets.
