No one can deny the power of the first three Toy Story, even to the point where some will flat-out ignore Disney/Pixar’s fourth outing with the franchise. One of those people? Quentin Tarantino.
During a cameo on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, the iconic writer & director mentioned the trilogy during his conversation on the best three-movie series. Joining the likes of Sergio Leone’s The Man With No Name films, the critical and commercial three Toy Story movies are Tarantino’s picks, with him even going as far as never seeing 2019’s Toy Story 4.
“I am a big fan of the Toy Story trilogy. The third one is just magnificent, and it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, and if you’ve seen the other two, then it’s just devastating,” says the filmmaker. “The thing is, three years later, or something like that, they did a fourth one, and I have no desire to see it. You literally ended the story as perfect as you could, so no I, I don’t care if it’s good. I’m done.”
Please, no one tell him about the upcoming fifth Toy Story movie.
