Alleged synopsis for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teases return of Infinity Stones

January 14, 2020 by Samuel Brace

A reported synopsis for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has found its way online and it teases the return of the Infinity Stones.

While Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may have recently lost its director over creative differences, fans are still looking forward to seeing what Strange will get up to next in his second solo outing.

A supposed synopsis for the film has made its way to a popular casting website called Backstage, which may give us a glimpse of what to expect. While it’s brief, it does contain info on the potential return of one of the Infinity Stones:

“After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Dr Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Stone but an old friend-turned-enemy puts an end to his plans and causes Strange to unleash unspeakable evil.”

Researching the Time Stone certainly sounds like something Strange would do, while the “old-friend-turned-enemy” presumably refers to Mordo, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor in the first movie. However, we will have to wait and see until more concrete details are provided by Disney and Marvel.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set for release on May 7th 2021 and will feature a cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch.
