Rian Johnson is back with a new Benoit Blanc mystery, Wake Up Dead Man

May 24, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Benoit Blanc is back to solve another mystery as Rian Johnson confirms the follow-up to Knives Out and Glass Onion is officially in the work. The film will be titled Wake Up Dead Man.

There’s nothing confirmed about the story or the cast, but Daniel Craig is back as Benoit Blanc. The actor first entered pop culture as the notorious detective in 2019’s Knives Out and starred in the Netflix-released pandemic-set Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Johnson infamously hated the addition to Knives Out in the sequel’s title, which Netflix mandated upon its release. So, we will see if Wake Up Dead Man stays the title or if they add at least Benoit Blanc’s name.

Daniel Craig narrates in a newly released teaser: “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, behold, the glass was shattered. But my most dangerous case yet is about to be revealed.”
