The Hobbit star Richard Armitage is the latest actor to join the cast of NBC’s Hannibal season 3 in a villainous role.
TV Line has learnt that Armitage will play the role of Francis Dolarhyde, also known as the Tooth Fairy. The character appeared in the Thomas Harris novel Red Dragon., with Ralph Fiennes playing the killer in the movie version.
Season 3 of Hannibal is currently in production and is due to air on ABC some time in the mid year, although an official return date has yet to be confirmed.
