Riz Ahmed joins Joaquin Phoenix and Jake Gyllenhaal in The Sisters Brothers

April 18, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star Riz Ahmed has joined the cast of the Joaquin Phoenix led The Sisters Brothers.

Since coming off HBO’s much loved 2016 mini-series The Night Of, British actor Riz Ahmed has seen his career going from strength to strength.

Landing a key role in Rogue One, among a bevy of other top roles, the actor has now been cast opposite Joaquin Phoenix in The Sisters Brothers.

The star studded affair, which also features Jake Gyllenhaal and John C. Reilly, will be directed by Jacques Audiard, and adapted from the Patrick deWitt novel of the same name.

Variety got the scoop on the casting and say that: “The story follows two brothers — Eli and Charlie Sisters — who are hired to kill a prospector who has stolen from their boss. The story takes place in Oregon in 1851.”

It is unknown at this point who Ahmed will be playing in the film.
