Nick Fury is teaming up with The Winter Soldier, with Foresight Unlimited announcing that Samuel L. Jackson has joined his joined his Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Infinity War co-star Sebastian Stan in director Todd Robinson’s (Lonely Hearts) upcoming political drama The Last Full Measure.
THR reports that the film is based on the true story of a cover-up operation and follows “Pentagon investigator Scott Huffman (Stan) as he battles the political machine in Washington. He reluctantly teams with veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic, William Pitsenbarger, who is seen saving the lives of more than 60 Marines who were ambushed in one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War. As the battle waged on, and after the last helicopter left, he continued to save lives until his own was sacrificed.”
In addition to Stan and Jackson, the film also stars Marvel veteran William Hurt along with Christopher Plummer, Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli and Linus Roache.
