Sarah Wayne Callies returning for Prison Break revival

March 12, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Originally published March 12, 2016. Updated November 29, 2022.

Earlier this month we brought you an interview with The Walking Dead and The Other Side of the Door star Sarah Wayne Callies, who revealed that she was in talks with Fox about reprising the role of Sara Tancredi in the network’s Prison Break revival, and now Entertainment Weekly has revealed that she is officially on board.

The fifth season of Prison Break will see Callies reuniting with Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield) and Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Scofield), as well as creator and showrunner Paul T. Scheuring, while Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) has also signed on to feature in the cast.

The new season will see Sara raising her and Michael’s child with her new husband Scott Ness (Feuerstein), but “when clues surface suggesting that Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever”.
