Seth Grahame-Smith says Gremlins remake “ran out of steam”

January 16, 2015 by Thomas Roach

A reboot of the classic eighties movie Gremlins has been in development for some time now, and last year it was reported that the remake was being fast-tracked by Warner Bros.

However, it now looks like the project has run its course, with writer and producer Seth Grahame-Smith telling Entertainment Weekly that: “I think we ran out of steam, everybody got busy doing other things.”

The new movie would have been set in the present day and followed a new set of characters, whilst acknowledging the events of the previous films.

Are you upset that the Gremlims reboot isn’t going ahead? Let us know in the comments below…
