Shane Black’s The Predator adds Keegan-Michael Key

January 6, 2017 by James Garcia

Just yesterday, news broke that Moonlight actor Trevante Rhodes had boarded Shane Black’s reboot of The Predator, and now THR has word on yet another casting addition: Key and Peele co-creator and co-star Keegan-Michael Key.

20th Century Fox is still pretty tight-lipped about this reboot, which Black hopes to begin filming this winter. According to the new report, Key will play “a man who teams up with [Boyd] Holbrook and Rhodes to fight the creatures.” Previous reports cited that Holbrook and Rhodes were playing ex-marines, while X-Men: Acocalypse actress Olivia Munn is also on board as a scientist.

This will be the biggest genre project on Key’s resume. Apart from his run on the aforementioend acclaimed Comedy Central series, he also starred in Fargo‘s first season, as well as recent films Tomorrowland and of course, Keanu.

The Predator is currently scheduled for release on February 9th 2018.
