Shining Vale teases dark events with season 2 trailer

September 14, 2023 by Ricky Church

Starz has released the first trailer for the second season of its horror comedy Shining Vale with things getting darker as Courtney Cox’s character returns from the psychiatric hospital to find potentially new supernatural threats coming for her and her family. Check out the trailer below along with a selection of first look images…

Season 2 picks up after the chaotic Season 1 finale when Pat (Courteney Cox) lands herself in a psychiatric hospital for trying to murder her family with an ax. While there, she went through extensive Electroshock Therapy, and when she returns home she meets a mysterious woman who introduces her to a host of ancient remedies used to “cure” women of depression, including the apocryphal Smile Masks. It will also explore what’s in store for the Phelps family as they continue to be haunted by ghosts while Pat struggles to live with mental illness in a broken family, battling demons both internally…and externally.

Shining Vale stars Courtney Cox, Greg Kinnear, Mira Sorvino, Gus Birney, Merrin Dungey and Dylan Gage with Judith Light, Allison Tolman and Sherilyn Fenn.

Shining Vale Season 2 will premiere October 13th on Starz in the US and on Lionsgate+ in the UK.
