Sibling rivalry festers in dramatic trailer for Marion Cotillard’s Brother and Sister

May 10, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

With the 2022 Cannes Film Festival fast approaching, there’s plenty of reasons to get excited, one of which is the latest drama from French director Arnaud Desplechin (Ismael’s Ghosts, Deception), which stars Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone) and Melvil Poupaud (Summer of 85) as the titular Brother and Sister, who haven’t spoken to one another for twenty years, with a mysterious deep-seeded hatred keeping them apart; take a look at the dramatic trailer below….

Alice and Louis are brother and sister. She is an actress; he was a teacher and poet. For more than 20 years, Alice has hated her brother. In all this time they haven’t seen one another. Then their parents are involved in a serious accident, and the siblings are brought face to face…

Brother and Sister will have its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
