Solo: A Star Wars Story’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge would happily return as L3-37 in the future

September 21, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the actress behind the droid L3-37 in Solo: A Star Wars Story, says that she would happily play the character “forever”.

There were plenty of memorable components in this year’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, from Maul’s cameo to the Kessel Run, but another of these was certainly the antics of L3-37, Lando’s opinionated droid.

But would actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge be open to reprising the role in film’s set before the events of Solo? We’ll let her enthusiastic remarks to Vanity Fair in a recent interview answer that question:

“That would be a scream. I can imagine she has quite the past. Who knows what these imaginations will come up with next? I could play L3 forever.”

While future films set just before Solo isn’t a likely occurrence at this point, who knows what the future might hold. And, of course, with all of the animated series and TV shows that Lucasfilm produce, there very well could be a chance for the actress to reprise the role at least in a vocal capacity.
