Solo: A Star Wars Story will reportedly unveil first footage during the Super Bowl

February 1, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

There’s less than four months to go until the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, and so far Disney and Lucasfilm have kept the Anthology movie very close to their chest, releasing little in the way of promotional material aside from a few set photos from director Ron Howard, and the title card above.

Well, according to THR, that is about to change, as the marketing campaign is expected to begin this weekend with a TV spot during Super Bowl LII, which will give us our first look at Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo.

The outlet notes that Disney has declined to comment on its Super Bowl plans, but the studio is also set to advertise two further movies, with candidates including Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and A Wrinkle in Time.

In addition to the Disney spots, the Super Bowl is expected to feature promos for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Skyscraper, while Netflix may also unveil a first look at the next Cloverfield movie God Particle.
