Sony to release James Gunn horror movie this November

August 25, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Despite being removed from the director’s chair on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after running afoul of Disney with some of his historic tweets, it seems that James Gunn will soon unleashed his next project, with Sony revealing that it will be releasing the ‘Untitled James Gunn Horror Movie’ via its Screen Gems banner this November.

At this point, nothing is known about the project in question – indeed, we don’t even know if Gunn has directed the film, or simply written or produced it. However, prior to July’s San Diego Comic-Con, Gunn did tease a surprise announcement, only for his appearance to be pulled in the wake of the Twitter controversy:

Speculation has suggested that Gunn could have been due to announce an adaptation of the manga series Berserk, or the PS4 exclusive video game Bloodborne, but there’s been nothing in the way of confirmation on either of these. But, with the film only a couple of months out, one would have to expect that Sony will soon make an official reveal as it launches the marketing campaign.
