Comic book legend Stan Lee is teaming up with Sky 1 to create a new superhero TV show entitled Lucky Man, which is being produced by Downton Abbey’s Carnival Films and Lee’s own POW! Entertainment.
The 10-episode drama series will revolve around a down on his luck London policeman crippled by his gambling habbit and in debt to a local crime boss, who discovers a bracelet that grants him superpowers. James Nesbitt will take on the lead role, a character called DI Harry Clayton.
“Luck has always been a fascinating subject to me, and I am excited to finally share that fascination with audiences around the world,” said Lee. “With all the creative projects I have worked on, I sure am a lucky man myself and I am excited to be working with Sky 1 and Carnival Films on this latest project.”
Lucky Man is set to get underway on Sky 1 next year.
