Stan Lee’s The B-Team in development as live-action TV series

November 30, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Stan Lee may have passed away, but the comic book icon’s creations certainly live on, and South Korean production company Studio Invictus is looking to bring another to life.

According to Deadline, the company is developing a live-action TV series entitled The B-Team, which is based on an idea of Lee’s and follows a group of B-list superheroes who team up to battle the mad scientist responsible for their creation.

“Through careful planning with Stan, we are confident his vision will continue to be recognized through our current and future Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment projects,” said Shane Duffy, CEO of POW! Entertainment. “The Group will firmly push forward the development of Stan Lee IP and strive to integrate Stan Lee elements with oriental tradition to realize Mr. Stan Lee’s great vision.”

Kang Eun-kyung (Bread, Love and Dreams) is writing the series, which is expected to produce two different versions for the Korean and Chinese markets.
