Star Wars convention ‘For the Love of the Force’ heading to Manchester this December

May 30, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Just two weeks before the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, UK fans will be able to celebrate the epic space saga with ‘For the Love of the Force’, a Star Wars convention held at Bowlers Exhibition Centre between December 4th and December 6th.

In addition to guests such as Darth Vader himself, Dave Prowse, the convention will play host to several recreations of iconic sets such as the Mos Eisley Cantina, Yoda’s home on Dagobah, the Ewok village on Endor and Jabba’s Palace, complete with a full scale Jabba the Hutt prop. Also on show will be a full-size AT-ST Walker, the only one of its kind in the UK.

“Star Wars is the biggest movie franchise of all time and has legions of fans of all ages,” states organiser Carl Whiteley. “This convention is for the fans and gives them the opportunity to meet their heroes face to face. With the event taking place two weeks before the release of the new film, there will be massive hype around Star Wars and this will give fans something special.”
