The conflict is escalating in Starship Troopers: Extermination as the brand-new Update 1.4 arrives bringing more features and quality-of-life adjustments. More details have also been released on the upcoming Update 1.5 so developer Offworld certainly aren’t slowing down on their attack against the Arachnids. A new trailer can be seen below showcasing what’s new with this latest update…
In this brand new update for Starship Troopers: Extermination, players can make good use of the Fednet Heroism Feature. This feature allows players to equip FedNet cameras to document the heroics that play out on the battlefield and as a result increases unit morale and XP gains. Players can capture the action as it happens and earn rewards, as well as supply good propaganda.
Troopers who’ve reached Weapon Mastery level 6 or higher with the Morita MK1 can now go to the loadout menu and equip an underbarrel attachment. While this attachment has its obvious advantages it does shift the weapons weight to the front and as a result slightly reduces the accuracy while moving and shooting.
Various quality-of-life improvements and balancing tweaks have been made that will refine core mechanics and elevate the overall tactical experience on the battlefield. Finally, there has also been an improvement to Bug pathing, allowing them to move more effectively and get stuck on the environment less often.
Update 1.5 will be arriving soon and this will bring the following to players:
- The brand-new Morita MK2 weapon to the game that was briefly seen in the films.
- Galactic Front – Phase 1 Overhaul will bring major improvements to accessibility and usability of Company Operations.
- Eliminate the need to purchase for Company Ops.
- A new Quickplay option for Company Ops to help streamline the matchmaking process.
- The addition of a Dynamic Sky System.
That’s not all, from Update 1.5 the Hive Hunt mode will become a 16-player-only mode.
Jump into the action in Starship Troopers: Extermination and try out these improvements for yourselves.
