Stripped to Kill, Sorority House Massacre and Fade to Black head to 4K Ultra HD from 88 Films

November 29, 2025 by Gary Collinson

88 Films is bringing three more cult horrors from its Slasher Classics Collection to 4K Ultra HD this coming March in 1987’s Stripped to Kill, 1980’s Fade to Black and 1986’s Sorority House Massacre; check out the official artwork and special features for the three released below…

A red-hot murder mystery awaits you in Stripped to Kill, a tale of deadly deeds and even deadlier dancing! Detective Cody Sheehan (Kay Lenz) is a cop who desperately wants to solve the gruesome slayings of local strippers which are all tied to the Rock Bottom dance club. Going undercover, she begins to work at the club, will she be uncovered in more ways than one? This debut feature from Katt Shea, someone who gave the world the equally steamy Poison Ivy in 1992, is a sexploitation thriller that dares to bare as much as it can. Mixing early 80s crime thrillers with as much pole dancing as you can handle, Stripped to Kill is a “psycho on the loose” shocker with a cool late 80s aesthetic.

Special Features:

  • An interview with director/writer Katt Shea
  • A video essay by Mike Foster on Corman exploitation flicks

Get ready to meet Eric Binford, the number one movie fan in the whole world. In fact, this lonely cinephile loves movies so much he’s prepared to kill for them whilst living out his warped fantasies all in the name of his deranged obsession for the silver screen. Written and directed by Vernon Zimmerman, this is a slasher which focuses on the darker side of fandom and obsession whilst smartly entwinning a very black, surreal sense of humour. Filled with film references and a very early role for Mickey Rourke, Fade to Black has the spirit of Scream mixed with the tone of Psycho and the beating heart of 80s slasher films.

Special Features:

  • Commentary track with lead actor Dennis Christopher
  • Commentary track with The Hysteria Continues!
  • Historical commentary track with film historians Amanda Reyes and Bill Ackerman
  • Music Fading: A Brand New interview with Craig Safan
  • Fade In, Fade Out – A video essay by Heather Wixson

From Carol Frank, the director of The Slumber Party Massacre (1982) comes another blood-drenched slasher, this time with a paranormal edge to it. A young girl, Beth, survived the massacre of her family at the hands of her deranged brother but grows up with a mental block which removes the gory details of the horrific event. Fast-forward a few years and whilst at college Beth starts getting a sense of déjà vu about her sorority house, where has she seen it before and can she truly have a psychic link to her deranged brother? Soon, the bodies of innocent teens begin to pile high. The hack n’ slash genre has never been this disturbed!
