Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the original Super Mario. Bros video game on the Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment have officially announced that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will release in cinemas in April 2026.
The sequel to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie reunites directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and writer Matthew Fogel, while returning voice cast members include Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Jack Black as Bowser and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Plot details for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are being kept under wraps at present, but the title will certainly be familiar to fans of the iconic video game franchise with Super Mario Galaxy having released on the Nintendo Wii back in 2007.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set for release on April 3rd 2026.
