Supergirl’s ratings continue to fall

November 10, 2015 by Luke Owen

After a staggering premiere with an incredible 14 million viewers, the figures for Supergirl are starting to show signs of dropping – and dropping fast.

The show opened three weeks ago with a 3.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic, thanks in part to a lead-in from The Big Bang Theory. But Supergirl fell to a 2.2 last week when going up against The Voice, and it seems like the singing competition has had an effect on the show again as it achieved a 1.7 rating this week, with 8.2 million viewers. It wasn’t just The Voice that was a factor, however, as Supergirl also lost out to Blindspot‘s 2.2 rating and Dancing With The Star‘s 12.5 million viewers.

This of course doesn’t take in replays or DVR figures, which will be available in mid-November.

What do you make of the drop in ratings? Is there something Supergirl can do to bring its audience back?
