Supermassive to unveil Dead By Daylight single player game at The Game Awards

December 7, 2023 by Olly Dyche

Ahead of the highly anticipated 2023 Game Awards, The Quarry and Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games has revealed that they will be teaming up with Behaviour Interactive for a single-player story driven video game set in the Dead by Daylight universe.

Over on X, the official Dead by Daylight X account posted a short clip courtesy of Supermassive Games revealing that the hit video game studio will lead development on an interactive story driven single-player game set in the Dead by Daylight universe. While little is known about the video game as of writing, Supermassive teased more info to come with an official reveal at the Game Awards on Thursday.

“We’ve been working hard to blend the tension, agency, and branching storytelling of a Supermassive game together with Dead by Daylight’s mythology to create an intense narrative experience filled with powerful life or death choices,” said Supermassive executive producer Traci Tufte.

While Supermassive’s yet untitled single-player game is set in the same universe as Behaviour’s hit multiplayer game, the game will focus on an original story, an original setting, and original characters. Traci Trufte continued by revealing that their game “will be set outside the entities realm, and features a story with a new cast of characters who players will follow in an unprecedented experience beyond the fog”.
