Sylvester Stallone to guest star in This Is Us season 2

August 6, 2017 by Gary Collinson

This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman has announced that Sylvester Stallone is set for a guest role on the second season of the acclaimed series, where he’ll portray himself.

“Kevin’s character is shooting his big movie and we needed a big co-star with him,” said Fogelman at a Television Critics Association panel (via The Wrap). “Sly Stallone is going to come and do a part on the show as Justin Hartley’s co-star/father figure on the film. Milo obviously knows him really well, and that was a big reason why he’s doing it. We have a great script for him, I think it’s going to be really exciting.”

Season two of This Is Us is set to premiere on September 26th, and features a cast that includes Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan and Ron Cephas Jones.
