The A-Team being rebooted for TV by Fast & Furious producer Chris Morgan

September 24, 2015 by Gary Collinson

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, it looks like you’ll soon be able to hire The A-Team once again, as Deadline is reporting that Fast & Furious writer-producer Chris Morgan is teaming up with Tawnia McKiernan, daughter of creator Stephen J. Cannell, for a contemporary take on the classic 1980s TV show.

According to Deadline’s report, “the new A-Team revolves around a diverse team of American Special Forces operatives. Unlike the original all-male squad, the new team will include both male and female memebrs. The group has been framed for a crime they didn’t commit and set out to clear their names by uncovering the black-ops conspiracy that set them up. Along the way, they are driven to help those in need by using their singular military skills, high-tech expertise and often conflicting individual approaches. It’s described as a fun episodic mission-of-the-week show that mixes big action-adventure sequences with compelling characters, inventive cons and lots of humor.”

The A-Team ran between 1983 and 1987 and starred George Peppard as John ‘Hannibal’ Smith, Dirk Benedict as Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, Dwight Shultz as H.M. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock and Mr. T as Bosco Albert ‘B.A.’ Baracus. A big screen reboot was released in 2010, featuring Liam Neeson as Hannibal, Bradley Cooper as Face, Sharlto Copley as Murdock and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson as B.A.
