The Crow reboot moves to Sony Pictures

September 2, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It looks like the long-gestating reboot of The Crow is back from the dead, with THR reporting that Sony Pictures has picked up the project, which spent close to a decade in development at Relativity.

According to the site, director Corin Hardy (The Hallow) and star Jason Momoa (Aquaman) remain attached to the film, which is based upon the cult comic book series by James O’Barr.

The Crow has been eyeing an R-rating, and was intended as a faithful adaptation of the source material. Filming had been expected to get underway early in 2018, once Momoa finished up his work on Justice League, although it’s unclear whether any of these plans will change now that the project is set up at a new studio.
