After the success of the Heated Rivalry television series, which brought more eyes to the Game Changer books, it made sense to have another installment soon.
Author Rachel Reid is striking while the iron is very hot (and steamy) and giving fans a seventh book in her long-running queer romance series, titled Unrivaled. It will bring back the fan-favorite characters Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, giving the couple a third outing in the book series following Heated Rivalry and The Long Game.
As for the story being told, well, if you don’t want any potential spoilers for season two, look away now! Unrivaled will see the hockey-playing pair newly married, openly out, and playing on the same hockey team. While it’s everything they’ve hoped for, some major hurdles still lie ahead for our duo.
The book is set for release on September 29, 2026.
