The Last of Us season 2 character posters reveal premiere date

February 20, 2025 by Ricky Church

HBO has released a set of posters for the anticipated second season of The Last of Us along with an official premiere date in April.

The posters tease Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie, highlighting how they are going on their own individual journeys due to the conflicts between them. It also shows Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby, whose own journey collides with Joel and Ellie in shocking ways.

Season two of The Last of Us is based on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II, set a few years after the first game’s conclusion. HBO has scheduled the season premiere for April 13th. Check out the posters here…

After five years of peace following the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie’s collective past catches up to them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

The Last of Us season two sees Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return as Joel and Ellie alongside Diego Luna as Tommy. Newcomers include Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara also guest stars.

The Last of Us season 2 will premiere April 13th on HBO.
