The Lonely Island Movie titled Connor4real, Tim Meadows and Imogen Poots join cast

May 25, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this month we got a poster for the Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie, the upcoming comedy from The Lonely Island members Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone and producer Judd Apatow, whcih will see Samberg as Connor, a rapper forced to try and reunite his old boy band after his latest album bombs.

Well, we now have a title for the Universal comedy in Connor4real, while Deadline and The Wrap are reporting that Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live) and Imogen Poots (Filth) have joined the cast, with Meadows set to play Connor’s “constantly upbeat and overworked manager” Harry and Poots as Connor’s love interest.

The project is said to “take aim at the fluffy music documentaries of recent years such as Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never and Katy Perry’s Part of Me” and will also star Sarah Silverman as Connor’s sarcastic publicist.
