While Game of Thrones didn’t get a traditional TV spot at last night’s Super Bowl, HBO did team up with Budweiser for a crossover commercial which sees the Bud Knight meeting his match in a jousting competition with The Mountain.
As you might expect, things don’t end well for the Bud Knight, as The Mountain brutally murders his foe Oberyn Martell-style, before one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons arrives and turns up the heat. Watch the extended version of the commercial here…

The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on HBO in April 14th.
