The Night Agent season 3 casts Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, David Lyons and more

December 16, 2024 by Ricky Church

Though The Night Agent is returning with its second season next month, Netflix is already eyeing the future as filming has begun on the third season with several new cast members joining the hit spy series.

Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon A Time), Stephen Moyer (True Blood), David Lyons (Truth Be Told), Genesis Rodriguez (Lioness), Callum Vison (Chucky) and Suraj Sharma (How I Met Your Father) will be joining the third season, which is currently filming in Istanbul.

Based on the novel written by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent followed Gabriel Basso’s Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI Agent who worked in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rang — until it did. That call, from panicked cybersecurity expert Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), propelled the two into a conspiracy that ultimately led all the way to the Oval Office. All the while, the heroic couple was dogged by not just a team of lovebird assassins, but an inscrutable bunch of White House bigwigs.

Morrison and Moyer will have pivotal roles in the third season with Lyons, Rodriguez and Vison being series regulars. Sharma will have a recurring role throughout the season.

The Night Agent stars Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola and Sarah Desjardins with Amanda Warren, Berto Colon, Louis Herthum, Arienne Mandi, Michael Malarkey and Keon Alexander joining the second season.

Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), whose efforts to save The President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of Night Action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.

The Night Agent season 2 streams only on Netflix from January 23, 2025.
