The Pope’s Exorcist 2 happening with Russell Crowe returning

May 6, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Russell Crowe is staying with the church and fighting more demons.

As we teased last year, The Pope’s Exorcist 2 is officially happening as Producer Jeff Katz took to social media to announce the news: “Amorth Nation—I just got the call. IT’S OFFICIALLY HAPPENING!!! ‘È un seguito, amici miei.’ [It’s a sequel, my friends.] Thank you to the amazing #ThePopesExorcist fans. You made this happen. Gas up your Lambretta—and get ready to ride.”

Before he returns for The Pope’s Exorcist 2, Crowe is set to star in The Exorcism, directed by Joshua John Miller and starring Sam Worthington, Ryan Simpkins, and David Hyde Pierce. It’s set for release in United States theaters on June 7th, 2024 and you can watch the first trailer here.
