Kathrine Narducci and Danny A. Abeckaser joins Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman

September 20, 2017 by Ricky Church

Originally published September 20, 2017. Updated April 18, 2018.

Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman is picking up some steam ahead of its production, with Deadline reporting that the film has now added actress Kathrine Narducci to its cast.

The film is based on the true story of the disappearance of Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa. Robert De Niro will portray Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran, a hitman for the mob who was allegedly involved with Hoffa’s disappearance and murder. The story itself is based off the book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt which is based on Sheeran’s confession to the author and details the events leading up to Hoffa’s disappearance.

Narducci is known for her role in The Sopranos and will reunite with De Niro for the first time since their 1993 film A Bronx Tale. Also featuring in the cast are Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale, Jack Huston, Stephen Graham and Ray Romano.

UPDATE: According to The Wrap, former nightlife impresario-turned actor Danny A. Abeckaser (The Wolf of Wall Street) has also joined the cast of the film.
