The Walking Dead Season 8 to introduce two new characters

April 27, 2017 by Jordan Jones

The Walking Dead season 7 has recently concluded, but we are already hearing details regarding season 8. According to TVLine.com, we are getting two new characters next season.

“AMC’s monster smash is casting two new recurring good guys: Dillon, a sexy, blue-collar twentysomething whose survival skills include sarcasm, and Abbud, an innately likable Muslim American whose nerves are, let’s say, jangled, because he’s flown solo for too long in zombieland. Of the pair, the former is likelier to survive the looming conflict — not only does Dillon sound like a less jerky Spencer, but the casting notice for the roles hints that the actor chosen might get picked up for subsequent seasons.”

Readers of the comics will notice that these two characters are nowhere to be found. This isn’t surprising. After all, The Walking Dead TV series has deviated from the books since its first season. Let’s just hope that these characters are worth rooting for. Season season of The Walking Dead saw the series with some of its lowest ratings of the past five years. This is no doubt due in no small part to the padding-out of storylines, and too many expendable characters. Here’s hoping season 8 can turn things around.
