Boom! Studios has announced that the Power Rangers will make their return following the events of Shattered Grid as a bold new era begins with the White Ranger as the team leader in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #40.

The new series creative team of writer Ryan Parrott (Go Go Power Rangers) and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) begin a bold new era as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in Angel Grove…with the White Ranger as their leader! But what happened to the team after they defeated Lord Drakkon? And what does the White Ranger’s first appearance mean for the future of the team? Those answers – and more – arrive in the first chapter of Power Rangers: Necessary Evil, as shocking secrets are revealed!
“I’m writing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The reality of that statement hasn’t quite sunk in yet but I’m sure when it does, I’ll feel a mixture of exhilaration, disbelief and sheer panic,” said writer Ryan Parrott. “Working on the franchise for the last two years has been one of the most creatively rewarding experiences of my life, not only because of the incredibly talented people I get to collaborate with behind the scenes but also because of all the amazing fans I’ve encountered along the way.
