Thomas Lennon and Udo Kier join Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich

March 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in May of last year it was announced that Charles Band’s cult horror franchise Puppet Master is receiving the reboot treatment with Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, and now comes word from Variety that Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!) and Udo Kier (Nymphomaniac) have joined the cast of the film, which begins production this week.

The Littlest Reich “centers on a recently divorced young man discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother’s closet and plans to sell the toy at a convention in Texas celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose at during the auction when a strange force animates all of the various puppets throughout the convention as they go on a bloody killing spree.”

The film is being directed by Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wilund (Wither) from a script by S. Craig Zahler (Bone Tomahawk). Transformers’ Lorenzo di Bonaventura is on board as producer, while Charles Band is also listed among the executive producers.

The Puppet Master franchise launched in 1989 and spawned ten sequels, along with the crossover film Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys.
