Titans’ Batman actor revealed?

October 28, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Although we’ve only seen a few obscured glimpses of Bruce Wayne so far, it’s only a matter of time until Batman makes his presence felt in Titans, and Screen Rant believes it may have uncovered who’ll be donning the cape and cowl in the DC Universe live-action series.

The site bases its theory on the below shot from the third episode, where we saw Bruce – from behind – watching the newly-orphaned Dick Grayson and his case worker through a two-way mirror:

The site speculates that the actor in the shot is Into the Badlands’ Lewis Tan, who has recently been seen as Zhou Cheng in Marvel’s Iron Fist and as Shatterstar in Fox’s Deadpool 2.

As it happens, the British-born Tan had previously tweeted out a photo of him attending a meeting at DC, stating that his father had first come to Hollywood as an actor on Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman movie (he played a goon), and that things would soon come “full circle”.

At the time, the speculation pointed towards a possible role as Dick Grayson in Chris McKay’s Nightwing movie – with Tan then confirming that was one of the potential roles discussed during his DC meeting. So, is it possible that DC actually enlisted him to play the Caped Crusader in Titans? Well, it’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility, although El Mayimbe claims it’s not the case…

No, Lewis Tan is NOT playing Bruce Wayne in TITANS.

Hopefully we’ll find out one way or another soon enough when the Dark Knight debuts in the show. In the meantime, what do you make of Tan as a possible Batman? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, TITANS is an all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. TITANS is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans sees Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) leading the cast as Dick Grayson, alongside Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Starfire, Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson (Smallville) as Hawk, Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Dove and Lindsey Gort (Lucifer) as Detective Amy Rohrbach.
