Tom Holland would like to see Spider-Man teaming up with Doctor Strange

June 23, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Having teamed up with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio in next month’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, it seems that Tom Holland has already identified the next Marvel character he’d like to see tagging up with the web-slinger.

“I’m really wanting to do a team-up with Doctor Strange, because we’re both New Yorkers and I just really like the idea of a science guy being teamed up with a guy who does magic, because it totally contradicts everything he knows,” said Holland. “And I like the idea that there is real science that Peter Parker talks about, and then there’s Doctor Strange gibberish, where he’s like ‘the time rift and the thing and the thing.’ So it’s kind of fun.”

Based on their interactions in Avengers: Infinity War, a team-up between Holland’s Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange could certainly be a lot of fun. Let us know if it’s something you’d be interested in seeing…

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released on July 2nd and features the return of Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Zendaya (Michelle), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Angourie Rice (Betty Brant), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Martin Star (Mr. Harrington), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), with Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) as Mysterio and J.B. Smoove (Uncle Drew), Remy Hii (Crazy Rich Asians) and Numan Acar (Homeland) in undisclosed roles.
