Transformers 5 rumoured to have been pushed back to 2017

March 11, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Some potential bad news for anyone looking forward to seeing more Autobot and Decepticon action next year, as Paramount Pictures has reportedly pushed back the release of Transformers 5 from June 24th 2016 to an unspecified date in 2017.

The story is being reported by Master Herald, but there’s been no official word from the studio about the change of date, or any other sources for that matter, so until that point it’s probably best to label this one firmly as a rumour.

At present, very little is known about Transformers 5, although Mark Wahlberg is expected to return to lead the human cast, while there have been rumours that Michael Bay will hand over the directing reins to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles helmer Jonathan Liebesman.
