Transformers spinoff Bumblebee adds five more to its cast

Casting is ramping up on Paramount Pictures’ Bumblebee movie, with THR reporting that five young actors have joined the cast of the upcoming Transformers spinoff.

According to the site, Jason Drucker (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul), Abby Quinn (Landline), Rachel Crow (Deidra & Laney Rob a Train), Ricardo Hoyos (Degrassi) and Gracie Dzienny (Chasing Life) are all in various stages of negotiations to join the already announced Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect 3) and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Bumblebee is being directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) and will take place in 1985, with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura promising that it will take the franchise back to its Generation One roots.

Transformers: Bumblebee is set for release on June 22nd 2018.
