Twilight’s Leah Gibson joins Jessica Jones season 2

July 13, 2017 by Samuel Brace

With news yesterday that Lucy Liu has come aboard to direct the opening episode of Luke Cage season 2, more news has now been revealed about the second season of another Netflix Marvel property with Twilight actress Leah Gibson has joining the ranks of Jessica Jones.

Joining the cast of Jessica Jones as a series regular, Leah Gibson will play the role of Ingrid who is being described as street-smart but also with a nurse’s education.

There is speculation that Ingrid is actually the Marvel character Typhoid Mary who is a villain of Daredevil’s that suffers from dissociative mental disorder. The character has three personalities, with two of the most violent being that of Bloody Mary and Typhoid Mary.

The villain has more to her than this however, being able to boast a range of powers like telekinesis and pyrokinesis.

Netflix has declined to comment on this however but as Marvel’s Netflix shows love having characters move between series, it makes sense for a Daredevil enemy to start off on Jessica Jones before moving on to torment Matt Murdock.

Jessica Jones is expected to hit Netflix in 2018 and also features Janet McTeer (Tumblewood) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
