Uma Thurman to reprise Kill Bill’s The Bride in The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge animated short

November 26, 2025 by Ricky Church

With Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair hitting theaters next week, fans will get more of Quentin Tarantino’s iconic revenge thriller than expected as the director announced that he and Epic Games’ Unreal Engine will release The Lost Chapter – Yuki’s Revenge this weekend through the video game Fortnite with Uma Thurman reprising her memorable role.

Yuki’s Revenge is based on a deleted sequence Tarantino wrote but never filmed for Kill Bill Vol. 1 that would have closed out the first part of Tarantino’s two-part film. The action sequence saw Thurman’s Bride return to the US followed by Yuki, the younger sister of Gogo Yubari who died at The Bride’s hands during the bloody massacre at the House of Blue Leaves. The sequence was ultimately cut from the film’s production due to budget and pacing concerns since the fight would have seen The Bride and Yuki ravage a suburban community before coming to a bloody end.

Thurman provided a motion-capture performance for the film that was animated by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge will premiere on November 30th at 2 PM EST through Fortnite and fans of the game can expect some cameos of the game’s characters as seen in the teaser trailer below. Players who purchase a ticket to watch through the game will also receive a code for a Gogo Yubari costume-skin.

Those who do not play Fortnite will get their chance to see the short on the big screen as part of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair starting December 5th. Watch the trailer below…

Quentin Tarantino’s KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR unites Volume 1 and Volume 2 into a single, unrated epic—presented exactly as he intended, complete with a new, never-before-seen anime sequence. Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, left for dead after her former boss and lover Bill ambushes her wedding rehearsal, shooting her in the head and stealing her unborn child. To exact her vengeance, she must first hunt down the four remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before confronting Bill himself. With its operatic scope, relentless action, and iconic style, THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR stands as one of cinema’s definitive revenge sagas—rarely shown in its complete form, and now presented with a classic intermission.

The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge will premiere on Fortnite November 30th and be seen in cinemas in Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair on December 5th.
