Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season four will be split into two parts

February 16, 2018 by Samuel Brace

The fourth season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will be split into two parts.

Shows breaking into multiple parts is becoming more common these days, with various networks deciding to draw out seasons of their shows for a little longer.

Netflix has so far not participated in the practice but this is all about to change with the latest batch of episodes for Tina Fey’s comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

The streaming giant has revealed that part one of the new season will be released on May 30th with the second six episodes coming later in 2018.

This is certainly a change up for Netflix and might be the start of similar moves in the future regarding their other TV properties.

The reason why they have chosen to do so is unclear but considering their seasons of TV normally drop all at once, perhaps they would like the conversation regarding shows like Kimmy Schmidt to continue for a little longer than just one weekend.
