September 3, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Variety has revealed that Black Swan star Vincent Cassel is to play the villain in the fifth installment of the Bourne franchise.

Director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon are returning to the series after skipping The Bourne Legacy, and have already signed Alicia Vikander (Ex_Machina) and Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive) to star alongside Damon, as well as the returning Julia Stiles.

No firm details on the film’s plot have been revealed yet, but word is that Cassel will play an assassin trying to track down Bourne.
