The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Warner Bros. and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment are set to adapt the YA sci-fi novel Illuminae from authors Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristof.
The book “tells of a teenage hacker and her fighter pilot ex-boyfriend, struggling with their broken relationship while they unearth a conspiracy surrounding an intergalactic war that has them dealing with an enemy race, rogue artificial intelligence and a deadly virus.”
Published last month, Illuminae has been earning rave reviews, and found itself on the New York Times Young Adult Hardcover Bestseller list in its first week of release.
