Warwick Davis shares Star Wars: The Force Awakens selfies

January 15, 2015 by Thomas Roach

Warwick Davis was very keen to get a role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year, and while appearing on The One Show on BBC One, the Return of the Jedi star has shared a couple of selfies with two familiar Star Wars characters on the set at Pinewood Studios.

As things are being kept top secret we can assume that Davis was given permission to show these two photos which hardly give away any details about the film. We already knew that Chewbacca was making a return but the selfie with what is clearly Darth Vader is interesting. There have been rumours that Vader would appear in the film but it is more likely that the costume was available on set for being so iconic. Or maybe Davis has just spoiled the return of the Dark Lord of the Sith….

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Miltos Yerolemou (Game of Thrones), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Jessica Henwick (Spirit Warriors), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen.
