Will Ferrell and Jason Momoa to star in untitled comedy from Paramount

May 6, 2017 by Ricky Church

Deadline is reporting that Paramount Pictures has gained an untitled comedy pitch for Aquaman star Jason Momoa and Saturday Night Live veteran Will Ferrell. The script has been written by Andrew Mogel and Jared Paul (Yes Man, The Grinder) and is described as “Galaxy Quest meets Ocean’s 11“.

Though an official logline hasn’t been revealed yet, the film will see Ferrell as a washed out actor who reunites with his TV son, played by Momoa, who has become a huge star since their show ended and presumably wants his help to get his career back on track. Nicholas Stoller (Bad Neighbours), who also co-wrote Yes Man with Mogel and Paul, will produce the film with Ferrell’s Gary Sanchez banner.

Ferrell will be seen in The House this summer and is set to film Daddy’s Home 2 after that while Momoa will appear as Aquaman in November’s Justice League. Production on the solo Aquaman film just started earlier this week.
